Com Cashew

The Competitive Cashew initiative (ComCashew) was created in 2009. It focuses on building a sustainable cashew value chain. The project's main objective is to increase the competitiveness of African cashew smallholders, processors and other actors of the value chain. By doing so, about 512,000 ComCashew-trained farmers (19% women) earn an average annual income of 880 EUR. Additionally, cashew processing in Africa has increased from 3% to about 10% since the beginning of the project.
